CHIPS HEUGE BOWL SETOGURO
Pottery from the Momoyama period is also known as « Hikidashi Kuro » (drawer black) or « Tensho Kuro » (Tensho black) due to the firing method and the era in which it was fired. One of its defining features is its glossy, deep, jet-black glaze, which is so opaque that the color of the base material is not visible.
In order to create a Setoguro ware that can be used widely on the modern dining table, we used modern glaze mixtures and techniques rather than the same techniques as in the past to achieve a glossy, truly jet black color. Enjoy the contrast between the unique black-on-black tableware and the colorful ingredients.
This bowl is a dish placed between a rice bowl and a soup bowl. It is ideal for serving individual side dishes, or for serving large dishes with a lot of soup or hot pot.
